Privacy notice
This notice explains what the SA Roleplay User Control Panel (“the panel”) does with personal information. SA Roleplay is a fan-run FiveM roleplay community. It is not Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, or Cfx.re.
Controller / operator contact: privacy requests are handled by SA Roleplay staff via the SA Roleplay Discord (open a support ticket and mark it privacy). We will add a dedicated privacy email on this page when one is published.
What we hold
- Account details you submit: username, email address, and a hash of your password. We do not store the password itself.
- Profile text, referral codes, and whether your email is verified.
- Character records synced from the game server, including character name, in-game date of birth, money, job, and playtime.
- Applications and requests you send to staff, including the text you write and any attachments you upload.
- Security records: IP address, hardware identifiers from the game client, Rockstar identifiers linked to a login, and event timestamps. These are used to spot new locations and shared or banned clients.
- Discord account details if you choose to link Discord.
- Shop activity. Card payments are taken by Tebex; payment card data is not stored on this panel.
- On-device storage: a sign-in token, account summary, UI preferences, and your cookie/consent choice. See Cookies.
Why we process it
We use this information to create and run your account, review applications, operate the game server, keep banned or shared clients out, send verification and security emails, and provide the shop.
EU / UK GDPR lawful bases: performance of a contract (providing the account and panel), legitimate interests (security, anti-abuse, community operations), and consent where required for non-essential device storage or optional third-party loads.
Who else may see it
- SA Roleplay staff, for applications, support, and enforcement.
- Email delivery providers (for example Resend) when verification or security mail is sent.
- Discord, if you link a Discord account.
- Tebex, if you buy credits — their terms and privacy notice apply to checkout.
- Hosting providers for this website, Workers/edge network, and database (including Cloudflare and the VPS that hosts MySQL).
While a page is open, your browser may request fonts from Google and assets from Cloudflare’s CDN. Those companies receive your IP address as part of loading the file. The panel does not run advertising trackers and does not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Account and character records stay while the account exists. Security events, IP addresses, and hardware identifiers may be kept after a ban or closure so a banned person cannot immediately return. Ask staff if you want a copy or a deletion review.
Your rights (EU / UK)
Where GDPR / UK GDPR applies, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability (where applicable), and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent for optional storage at any time by clearing site data or choosing “Essential only” again after clearing consent. You can complain to your local supervisory authority (in the UK: ico.org.uk).
We may refuse deletion when we still need the record to keep a ban in force, prevent fraud, or defend a legal claim.
Your rights (United States)
Depending on your state (including California CCPA/CPRA and similar laws), you may have the right to know, access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, and to appeal a refusal. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. To exercise rights, contact staff via Discord as described above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
International transfers
Infrastructure may process data in the United States, the European Economic Area, or other countries where our hosts operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers (for example Standard Contractual Clauses).
Age
The panel and the server are for people aged 18 or over. Grand Theft Auto V is rated 18. Do not register if you are younger.
Changes
We may update this notice. The date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the panel after an update means you have read the revised notice.
